By the third minute of the game, your designer clothes and cash will be stolen. Your home will be destroyed, and someone will defile your carpet.

Choose a nice game with piggies, flowers, and anime girls.
You don’t need Drop City.

There’s no two-week-long tutorial here. No consolation prizes either.

Drop City is a hardcore place, but it’s genuinely fun:

■ The story isn’t pulled out of thin air. It’s a mature noir-detective tale with a femme fatale, crooked cops, and monsters.
